| My son's car has a black roof ... well not today. |
So I sit and sew. The log cabin is almost finish. Only one more log to go.
She did some quilting in the sashing but all have been marked so it will be easy to do. The last border will be to my discretion as there are no marks to follow.
Have you caved in to Bonnie's Mystery Lupine and Laughter? I so love that name that it did me in. I assembled a few blocks only which is a good thing because I did them wrong. Bloopers alert!
Her pink is orange at my place. (of course!) There's suppose to be TWO pink (orange) per hourglass. Well, someone in this household doesn't know how to read, lol. They will become something else like this ...
If you think you have seen this blue print here before you are right. It is the tiny little 4-patch blue.
I thought that I used up all the fabric received in the bag but no. There were some long, wide strips that I had stored with the blue (why?) and obviously forgot about.
Now I have a mind to replace the dark blue with the original blue. I'll take measurement first. I don't want to undo all this just to find out there isn't enough of the original blue to go around. Lol.
My sweet Raven was very sick through out November 😩 to the point that I started to wonder if it wouldn't be best to put him to sleep. 😠But then, after 20 days of worrying, the medicines (3 different ones twice daily) finally kicked in. He hated the meds so much that he hide from me most of the time. I missed him! Here, he's sleeping on my favourite chair protected by a mini quilt during his illness. He is now good as new and we can't wait to put this month behind us.
Here's to a wonderful December to all of you. Cheers!

I'm relieved that Raven has recovered from his illness. It's hard when either our children or fur babies are sick. I've given up even trying Bonnie's mysteries anymore. I'm glad I didn't start this one as hourglass blocks and I don't get along and these are really small. Instead, I'm trying to finish some old RSC tops to be sent to Cynthia for Many hands and many hearts. We've had very little snow so far, which is fine by me.

I'm sorry to hear Raven had a tough November, but so glad he is better now. The quilting looks good on the pink project - I'm thinking you'll be happy to have it done! I love the Bonnie Hunter blocks, even if there was a boo boo. They work nicely for those star blocks. Stay warm!
Poor Raven - I hope he continues to be on the mend.
It's so good to hear that Raven is doing better now, never easy when these furballs are sick, we tend to worry as much for them as we do with children and grandchildren. I've never done a Bonnie Hunter quilt, her pieced units are too small, and I don't want to think of 76 or 100 units of anything at this point in my life, except probably cookies!
That must have been a scary drive home! Glad Raven is recovering. Your rescued little quilt is coming along nicely.
The little pink quilt is looking lovely now and yes, I would add quilting of some sort into that space by the fan. Poor Raven, so glad he is well again. xx
Glad Raven is better. Your rescue quilt is coming along nicely. I would put some stitching in that fan. Love your blue quilt.

That older quilt that you finished that someone else made... around 1990. I recognize the colors from quilts I made way back when!
I'm glad Raven recovered and is as good as new. Finishing someone else's project was so kind of you and also nice you tried to honor her stitching as you quilted! I also mis read some of Bonnie's directions and ended up with some tiny HSTs. . .I will use them sashing.
