Hope you are all finding some time to sew today, or quilt, or bind, or ... you get the picture.
I sew my quilts in quadrants in an effort to eliminate long rows of stitching. So, this morning I had quadrants A, B, C and D.
As I was assembling the quadrants C and D, this happened.
There are 15 blocks per row. My first thought was that I had sewed only 7 blocks in the Quadrant B's rows. The latter is to be sewed to Quadrant A and added to the left of this picture. Thus, leaving Quadrant D to have 8 blocks per row. These 2 quadrants were almost all sewed up before I realized there are a few blocks missing. I was not happy about undoing all these stitches with so many intersections to watch for.
So I decided to add more blocks. It was an easier task and beside, it's not like I'm gonna run out of fabric tomorrow, right? Lol. I probably have enough squares cut already to add another 5 rows, lolll.
Anywho! Here is where I'm at.
Now that my goal for March is done (getting half of FF done), I will enjoy some slow stitching on this Quilting Day.
Once these stitches are done, I will quilt the floral border on my machine. This mini quilt was given to me. She had started to hand quilt it and to honor her, I decided to finish the quilting by hand. Since it is not my colour nor my aesthetic, I can't wait to finish it now and donate it. And move onto something I do want to work on. 😊

So kind of you to finish up another stitchers project! I adore your scrap quilt and think I would like your idea of sewing the blocks in quadrants instead of long rows!
Friends Favorite is so pretty, a perfect scrap quilt! Happy stitching!
Your Friends Favourite looks wonderful.
Wow it looks fabulous.....

I'm with you -- would definitely have chosen to make more blocks rather than rip apart what you've carefully stitched together. That is such a joyful quilt top, it deserves to be a little bigger!
I'm in love with Friends' Favorite! Well done on the mini-quilt, Chantal.
FF is looking amazing! Love it. xx
Look at all that progress you have accomplished this month! Wahoo!! That snow is something! I hope you enjoyed your hand quilting session and that you will make even more progress on that project before the month ends.
The Friends Favourite is a great design!
That made me smile, "I'm not going to run out of fabric". I'm pleased you found an easy solution.
Your "Friends Favorites' quilt is looking very large. I did a twin very similar to this. It was a qal with Yvonne on youtube. It is really a happy looking pattern with all the colors and the white sashings.
I love your solution--just make more blocks! It's not like we hate making blocks, right? So that is only HALF of the quilt? Wow! Beautiful quilting on the mini, too.
Glad that you were able to enjoy national quilting day with some slow stitching. What a great way to celebrate. Your half flimsy is looking fabulous! Having to make a few more blocks is never a problem. Glad the mistake didn't lead to unsewing.
Bravo pour le rattrapage de la ligne de blocs manquants ;) Je me doutais bien que tu allais en ajouter plutôt qu'en retirer ! Ce quilt va être magnifique. Bises
Wowza! I really love that quilt. It's always amazing how beautiful a big mix of scrappy blocks can be!!
I love Friends' Favorites! There is a nice variety of color, and my eyes just keep moving around the top.

what a wonderful scrappy quilt top! Well done!
Wow... Such a beautiful, large piece... I'm thrilled and sending you warm greetings.
I'm currently sewing the binding for my quilt, which I also presented in the snow :-)))
Happy Sunday!

Friends Favorite is a gorgeous quilt, Chantal! My favorite kind with all that scrappy color, even if it did give you a little trouble. Looks like you're almost there with both FF and the pink hand quilted project!
I love your solution to dealing with different sized quadrants. Why rip out when you can add more blocks? Genius.
Friends' Favourite is stunning! Love your hand quilting too.
Oh your scrap quilt just tugs at my heart strings! It's so simple but shows off your scraps beautifully. Nice work.
