Red and White (Edited)

A long time ago, I started to put little bits of scraps red on white or white on red in a plastic bag.
By themselves. Not with the rest of the reds.
Why? I do not know. I haven't done that with blue on white, or any other colour. I guess red is more attracting, maybe? Or because of that exposition of all the gorgeous red and white quilts, hanging from the ceiling a few years back. Remember that?

Anywho!
I thought one day I would have enough to make a crumb block with only the red and white bits.

This week, I found the little bag.

It isn't a big bag at all but I managed to get two blocks out of it.

Okay, okay, you are right, the blocks are not very big but they are cute!

The first one was the 18 Bricks. I also finished a second green one this week. They need pieces cut at 1.5 X 2.5".

Then I did a Hollow 9 with some 2" squares.

The one one the right comes from the little bag. The left one is made with "regular" reds.

Also assembled some of the blue that were kit previously. All these blocks were my leader-ender while I work on Friends' Favourite.

I was coughing so much this week that I took 2 days off from work to rest and survive. And sew.

Some sewing time was spend attaching labels to the baby quilts. I decided to use some fancy stitches.

 Artisanat Sainte-Trinité (Holy Trinity Craft).

It's the battle of the seasons here. Winter and Spring are at it like Tom cats. I will sit by the window this weekend and watch them argue over my front lawn while I sew. ❄🌻⛄🌷

Enjoy! ;^)

P.S. Someone called Shell wrote on my previous posts regarding one of the baby quilts pattern. Shell, I don't mind sharing the information of my pattern but I don't have a valid email to reach you. Please, leave your email address. 😊

Friends Favourite is making good progress and the little blocks are a great bonus. Spring seems to have arrived here but I say it quietly as winter could return next week! xx

I hope your coughing has subsided. A wicked cough is sure taxing! Those red blocks are great and so fun to have come out of that bag!!! I laughed when you wrote about watching Winter and Spring argue over your front lawn this weekend! I think I will be doing the same here!

I love your blocks...reds and blues are so cheery. It's moving everything along doing things like this. I like your description of the weather. Sadly winter is still winning here and the warmer temps they keep predicting just aren't showing up. Hope your throat has healed! Take care, J

Looking at your cute, tiny blocks, I may have to go through my box with overloaded 1.5" strips (one day in the future! lol). Beautiful blocks, and I'm in love with Friends' Favorite. Sorry about the cough, do feel better soon.

Bises
