Buckwheat

I did some more green Buckwheat blocks for my RSC 2017.

Well, three greens and one aqua. :^D

Then I sew a few together as I couldn't wait to see how well they play together.

I like what I see so far. The constant fabric (yellow with cherries, ugly one, and wanna-be plaid) are the trellis and the rainbow is passing through it. Does that make sense to you? Anyway, it will be easier to see it after adding more blocks.

What I don't like is the pinwheels. What happened to them? The points are a mess! I definitively need to remedy that before I can continue.

The more the merrier, so come and join us.

Until next time ...

I think your blocks look great and I don't see a problem with the pinwheels.

I really like the patterns that are forming when you sew the blocks together, Chantal! The rest of us can't see the points on your pinwheels, but I know how you feel about it when looking at them up close!

Oh, I didn't know they were going to form a pinwheel too! I don't see any messy pinwheel points. Anyway...I say this every week...I really like these and need to make some and one of these days I will surprise you and really do it!

This is a great block! The pinwheels are just fine - they are a neutral secondary pattern, so don't stress over them. I didn't even notice any problem. Your plan is coming together beautifully!!

Those pinwheels are harder to join because they are saying, "Hey, I'm already in a block. Why are you making me try to fit with these other strange colors?" You just have to show them who's boss. Keep up the good work!

Love those buckwheat blocks all together and the little pinwheel you get when they go together adds so much interest.
