Another Friday, Another Snow Storm

That's how we roll around here lately. Every Friday is Shovel Day!!!

Every Saturday morning is Winter Wonderland once again.

On the first Tuesday of the month, we had our Artisanat reunion. The challenge of the month was snowman! I know someone who just LOVES snowmen; me. :^) Of course, I had to participate in this challenge. I waited till the last day to do something as there were so many snowmen I wanted to do all month long. Anywho! Let's have a look. I took very few (good) pictures.

I just loved those little reindeer.  Her snowman was also knitted but the picture is too blurry. Sorry.

This is Michelle. She is presenting her own challenge. So whimsical! I love it.

And this is my take on the snowman challenge.  Cardboard, colouring pencils, a piece of ribbon, and a LED tea light. Voilà!

With the tealight on. It sits on my desk at work and I turn it on every morning just for fun.

So, what did I sew? I sewed two blue stars for the Irish Star quilt...

... and an ID card holder for a co-worker. This little 3 X 4.5" pocket took way too long to do. I don't know how many times I had to redo the sides, then the top part was crooked. Anywho! It's done! It is very dark as per her request with purple swirls all over.

I also got this one together. Yay!
Jericho Wall (RSC 2022) is a top. I'm very happy with how this one turned out.

Can you see how deep the snow is? We had a good 7-8" of snow and I didn't bother to shovel the deck before taking the pictures. Oh! I'm getting lazy, haha.

Hope you are all well and warm!
;^)

We noticed a few years back, the storms arrived on the same day for that winter. This winter we are on shoveling Friday definitely. Beautiful snowman and love those cute reindeer.

Jericho is pretty - the snow is too - I think if we got that much snow here maybe they would finally get more snowplows to take care of the area - we only get snow 1-3 times a winter so the county is never ready for it it seems and so everyone stays home for a couple of days or more!

I love the Jericho Wall quilt, and seeing it in the fresh snow highlights the colors so nicely. You had a lot more snow than we have, only an inch or two here, even though it's been snowing lightly all day.

Allo Chantal, when I read about your Friday snow storms, I thought that you might be in Ontario! I live in Orleans :-) Your Jericho star top looks great. I took pictures of my finished quilt on a snow bank this afternoon! I guess what ever works. Bonne semaine.

Jericho Walls is amazing! Absolutely gorgeous, Chantal!! Our storms here in the Salt Lake Valley seem to arrive on Sunday and Monday. And then we spend the rest of the week digging out and cleaning up, LOL. But our snowpack is 175% of normal, so this will take us out of drought conditions in most parts of the state. Yay for that!

Jericho Wall is so pretty! It made a great design, and all that color is so appealing!

You've got another winner with Jericho Wall. And the snowman is so clever. We've had less than 10" of snow all season, well below normal. Probably means a big snow storm in March, but at least I'll be in FL then.

We've been very, very snow-less in Chicagoland. Rain predicted today with temps in the mid 40's. Jericho Wall is wonderful!
