Yep, yesterday, Friday, February 17th, we got more snow. This winter, the weather is getting as accurate as Big Ben! It is almost funny. Almost!
We have a long weekend here in Canada, celebrating family time together. Does it mean I have more time to sew? I need to prepare more things for my sewing retreat next weekend. I'm so excited! But I might sit and sew too.

Meanwhile, I did get a wee bit of sewing done this past week.
Two pink Star Bloom blocks. The blocks look better when 4 of the same colour are together. There were only two pink blocks so with these new ones, I have a complete foursome. At the beginning of this project, I used the same white for the same colour thinking that I wouldn't put two pinks next to each other. Now that the layout has changed, I'm kind of in a pickle with my way of sewing these but ... oh well! Life happens and wine helps!
My design wall sums up my sewing for this week.
Some of the girls I sew with use a tackle box to carry their sewing notions. I think it is a great idea.
I found this one at a second-hand store. With time, it will fill up I'm sure. I like its name.
And that's all for now. Have a great weekend everyone!
;^)
P.S. I know I am behind in replying to your comments. I'm sorry. I've got the flu (still sick) and missed an entire week at work. When I returned to work, I was tagged with training the intern which left me completely drained at night. But I will get back to your comments. You can count on it. ;^)

Very pretty pink blocks! Great idea to use a tackle box for notions. Hope it doesn't get mixed up with a fisherman's box or he's going to get a real surprise when he opens up the sewing notions while fishing in his boat! LOL
Entre la grippe, le mauvais temps, et la préparation de la retraite, je comprends qu'il reste peu de temps pour le reste ! Jolis blocs roses, c'est une couleur gaie pour ce mois.
A bientôt ! Bises
lovely pink blocks, pretty fabric in the second one.... sorry you have been sick, and sounds like quite a severe winter for you.... love the tackle box... on my radar now!

Life happens, and wine helps! I need to remember that one, lol! No need to reply, save your energy to feel great by the time your retreat rolls around.
Those are unusual blocks, but they look great all together. Don't worry about the whites matching because it won't matter at all in the finished quilt. And don't worry about comment replies-- just declare an amnesty, forgive yourself for being human, and have some tea and feel better.
Sorry you have been sick. Pretty pink blocks. Snow again?! BRRR! It's soon March and spring is at your doorstep before you know! Here, we are waiting for cyclone 'Freddy' to pass, by Tuesday. Have a relaxing weekend!
It takes a while to get over flu - hope you feel better soon.Nice work with your pinks and enjoy your long weekend. xx
I'm glad that you are feeling better. That was a nasty bug that kept people away from their routines for a long time! Your blocks are lovely and I too like the name of that toolbox!
At our house, if it's Wednesday it must be snowing! Every week lately... I love the way those Star Bloom blocks create the star when you put four together. Such a neat design!
Those star blocks are so intriguing! The sections don't look anything like how they look when you put them all together. Very pretty block!!
Brr!Stay warm and cozy, Chantal and enjoy your time quilting the winter days away. Star Blooms is such a pretty block. Such lovely pinks that you are working with. The tackle box is a fabulous find . I am sure you will have it filled in no time.
Lots of pieces to that block, but easy to make in sections. All your blocks are pretty. Good idea for a notions box. It's great to repurpose items. Blessings.
