In the last post, I showed the two Flying Home blocks I did in orange. I thought I had one already done. Surprise!
I had two already done! The latest blocks are at the bottom.
Then, I brought them all out and set them together.
With the addition of purple and maybe more yellow blocks, it will be ready to become a top, I think.
Also assembled these blocks. The 9-Patch Path on the left and Bonus Point on the right. It gave me a sense of accomplishment.
On other evenings, I'm so tired that I just stand in front of the cutting table and admire some cats, lol.
The President of the Artisanat called me on Thursday evening. We had a long and productive chat. She was happy to tell me that the Artisanat will supply all the batting I need to move the baby quilts along. I'm so thrilled. She also found 3 more ladies that want to join my group. We are now 14. Then, she said that I don't have to do all that by myself. "Let me know when you are available and I'll book the room for you and the girls. You'll be able to use the long tables to cut the fabric or the batting ... " What else can I say but "thank you from the bottom of my heart"? This project of making quilt kits is just exploding. I am blessed.
Two April Fool blocks were assembled. In orange, of course.
More big orange pieces are on the ironing board, all pressed, waiting for me to cut them up and turn them into April Fool blocks this weekend.
Caught Mr. Robin having a fight with his own image.
The windows on the upper deck are covered with a mirror film so that the nosy neighbour stop staring at us. But the birds think that there's another male on their territories. There's always something, isn't there? Haha.

Hope your week is wonderful and it lets you sew, sew, sew.
Enjoy! ;^)

The Flying Home blocks look even more interesting all together. Love them!! I'm glad your baby quilt group is getting some assistance.
I've never seen the 9-patch Path blocks before. They are very interesting and a good scrappy option.
Your Flying Home blocks all together like that are just awesome, Chantal! They're making such a neat design. I hope you get lots of help with kit making and sewing up those quilts, too. Great photo of the bird! We see them doing that, too.
What wonderful news about having help with your baby quilt project! That project is taking on a life as its own! I hope all the volunteers follow through on their commitments so that many quilts are produced and gifted! As for the robin, we have one that is still trying to build a nest in the garage!!! Crazy bird. . .there are no building permits available for that site! LOL
Congrats on your ORANGE scrappy blocks and the fantastic news about your charity project production space!
That Flying Home layout is simply stunning! Can't wait to see the finished project. Also, hooray for helpers on the kits & a place to work together. You're asked to volunteer & then the blessings arrive!
The Flying Home blocks are really coming along. :)
Wow! Those flying home blocks are so interesting. They will make a great quilt.
Robins! So silly!

What a great way of dealing with a nosy neighbour! Flying home is going to look amazing. Good to hear that you are getting help with your kit project - such a big thing to take on. Have a good week. xx
Your flying home blocks are so precise! Great work there! Happy stitching!
OOOh . I may have to do some of those April Fool blocks. Great variation of the Garlic knots I have marinating! Happy Stitching!
Your flying home quilt is spectacular - I love the colours and design!
Those Flying Home blocks are beautiful but, when on the wall with their friends, the whole arrangement is gorgeous!
I'm in love with the Flying Home blocks. Such as stunning layout with the high contrast black and white squares bringing cohesiveness to setting out a variety of colors. The perfect RSC project. Congratulations on reaching out for help with your charity work. Amazing how many retailers and fellow quilters will pitch in when asked.
I love the April Fools block. Any idea why it is called that?
Gosh, those flying home blocks look amazing on your design wall! I liked them as blocks. Together they sure sparkle!
Oh, how exciting that you have folks who want to help and batting will be supplied. Sounds like you will have some fun get togethers with a group of 14 wth a common goal On another note I like your Flying Home blocks and I might have to make a 9 Patch Path because I have a bunch of little 9 patches already made. I was thinking 9P/Snowball but like your idea better. Thanks!
Mais que j'aime tes blocs Flying home ! Ils sont superbes, et j'ai hâte de voir les violets et jaunes les rejoindre ! Bravo pour le groupe, vous allez faire de belles choses ! Bises
those blocks look super cool on point!!
