This is all I could gather of aqua and light blue. Not one piece sewn yet! Sigh!

I was busy cutting. Cutting!!
Remember this poor Multi-coloured Scrap basket?
And now!
I fold the rim a bit so you can see the dark fabric on top. Almost half of it is gone. Cut, cut, and cut. In front of the basket are 99 pieces of 6.5" scraps. Two sets of 3 same (or almost) fabric are missing to have 3 kits of 35 pieces each. Not all of the squares came out of this basket, but it sure gave its fair share.
When the pieces were smaller than 6.5", they were added to these containers.
Running out of containers so I'm using some envelope boxes from the office. Squares and strips are together because the boxes holding the squares are full. (Note: need to find better containers.) The 2" box also has the 2" strips and the 4" strips. Ditto for the 2.5" box with strips and 5" squares. Three inches are in the plastic containers. There's also a container for the 4.5'', the 5.5", and the 6".
Some scrap gifted bags were emptied too; many more to go. All this preparation is for the "Building Kits Day" that I would like to do with the girls at our group. I have a plan and hope it works.
This lone Bonus Point block was finished when I pushed some red fabric under the needle.
That's all I got for you this week.
This weekend, my intentions are to sit and sew some aqua blocks. I hope you get a chance to do it too.
Enjoy! ;^)

Your dedication to the scrappy quilt kits is awesome, Chantal! One of these days, you'll be sewing up lots of quilts. And your friends who sew along are going to appreciate all you've done, too!
To me aqua is the color I move back and forth between the blue bin and the green bin...over and over again...should just put it in its own bin but I don't have much either.
So much cutting! But look how great it looks all organized. Hope your "Building Kits Day" goes well & then you can pass out the kits to your volunteers. Good luck on aqua this weekend!
That's a lot of cutting, but what lovely piles of bits you have got now...

Progress! Doesn't it feel good after a lot of cutting is done? I had to purchase some containers recently for my squares too and managed to get rid of some old shoe boxes where I stored the squares in earlier.
And just how many cutter blades have you got through? xx
Nice job on the scrap processing, Chantal! I agree that AQUA is a tough color to identify. Your plan to go with the blues you have is "good enough for government", as they say. My own stash yielded a fair few of the blue-green, turquoise, and teal variety so I'm going with those. Happy quilting!
I'm very impressed with your organization of those scraps. My scraps must be multiplying during the night again, because my scrap bins don't seem to be getting any more empty.
En voilà des chutes bien coupées et bien rangées ! Beau travail, la journée des kits va être réussie !
It was fun reading about your scraps! You have them so well organized. I hope you got in some stitching time.
