Not much got done this week (read nothing got done this week). The little bit of sewing I did last weekend can all fit in one photo. Ain't that a shame?
One Flying Home block. I'm having difficulty finding the right aqua for this one. It's either the fabric is not big enough for the cuts I need or they don't play well together. Sigh!
One 18 Bars block made with whatever aqua, turquoise, teal, and blue-green. And only one 9-Patch.
However I did sort out the red fabrics. It started here ...
On the step, behind the scrap basket, (from left to right) batik (which are usually stored separately), solid red (again stored separately), the pile of red I can cut in 3.5" square for the kit I'm working on and the last pile are scraps big enough to be cut at 6.5" also for kits. I'm very happy with the result.
Now what I forgot to show in this picture is the bag of little scraps, big enough for crumb blocks. Oops! Also, some of these selected fabric might return to the scrap basket. Once I reached the number of squares I need for the kit, I might stop cutting ... or not.
The reason I wasn't very productive last week is because of a book. Have you read The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins? If not, don't. Do NOT get that book. It will mess up your life. I just can't put the darn book down. One evening, I read until 11pm. Waking up at 6am was tough. I'm almost done. Hopefully my routine will return to normal after I'm done.
Okay, I have to get back to it. Only 90-something pages to go.

Oh yes, I read that book, so I know what you're going through, lol! Some weeks that's how life goes. Even if there are only a few aqua blocks to show today, they are pretty ones!
Some weeks you just have to give in to the urge to read. I've been listening to The Blue Hour, so reading & sewing at the same time. LOL
sometimes you just need a week with lots of reading! I watched the movie of that book - it was pretty good though I imagine different to the book (they always are!).

Pretty aqua blocks. I found it challenging to separate the turquoises from the aquas when sorting my fabrics. Some could go either way.
That book is on my list! Good to know that it is a page turner! I like your aqua block array. Perhaps, someone will "gift" you with some aqua scraps this week and you will have plenty of "material" with which to create!
3 blocks is progress! Every little bit counts! Yes, I read that book a long time ago. So long ago I don't remember much about it.
I read most of that book, found it unsettling, and decided to just throw it away! Sounded to me like an obsessed person, and delusional... if the real did not match her imaginings, then there was danger!
