The sun is finally out today to warm up the house. It was pretty cold last night.
A few fallen trees around my house.
We survived the Ice Storm of 1998, we can do this.

We are blessed. No damage to the house besides the power outage. We finally got a generator from a friend who lives an hour away. They don't have power either but luckily he has two generators. My guardian angel is good to us. More and more gas stations are running out of gas but we can manage so far. The hydro company hope that by mid-week, the power will be reestablished. So much for a long weekend of sewing.
Well, if I can't sew, I can cut. So I'm cutting fabric and keeping water hot on the BBQ for coffee. Hahaha! Where there is a will, there is a way!
No ironing just yet but all kind of scraps are getting squared off, and some greens too. We survived the Ice Storm of 1998, we can do this.
Stay safe my friends, and keep sewing!

Good to hear you are all ok. We were expecting severe weather too, but the system went north and east of us.
Glad that you are OK - hope you get your power back soon. Hugs. xx
That storm sure left a lot of damage for quite a stretch. Hope you get power back soon and glad to hear that you are ok. Luckily, we were not in it's path.
I did see that Ontario and Quebec were hard hit by the storms. I was driving home from MI and experienced multiple downpours and saw amazing lightning on the last leg of my journey (it was dark by then and the lightning lit up the sky). Sorry you lost power, especially when you had an extra day off to spend sewing. Hope the power is back on soon.
