Made From Scratch

My crumb Chaser (or Brick) is a top! I call it:

Made From Scratch

Doesn't it suit it perfectly?

I used up all the grey yardage(?) that I had. Four blocks were made and not used due to the layout of 7 blocks in a row. Then I found 3 blocks that I had forgotten I had made. Whoop Whoop! I suddenly had enough grey for another row so I did it in pink.  (Bottom row)  I went for a weaving pattern.

It now stands at 64" X 56". All those little pieces were rescued from being dumped in the landfill.

I wish I could quilt it, but my Janome (that does the quilting) decided to quit on me. It needs a doctor's appointment. Sigh!

Let's go piece something else. :^D

We are still waiting for Spring to show up. No sign of it yet. Sigh!

Enjoy!

What a pretty quilt. I haven't done any crumb blocks but this one makes me want to run right to my machine and give it a try.

That's beautiful, Chantal! I really like the narrow gray sashing strips you put along the sides of each block. Crumb blocks are so fun - I've been working on some, too!

Congratulations on a successful (fabric scrap) rescue mission, Chantal!! Sorry to hear that your Janome needs to go in for servicing. Have fun piecing another quilt top (or two or three) while you wait!

Love your finished Made from Scratch top! I guess you made the right number of blocks after all. . .I'm glad you located those extra blocks. I scheduled a spa appointment for my machine so I don't have to deal with a shut down because she decides she wants attention that I'm not qualified to give her! I hope you can get your machine in and out without a long wait and no need of replacement parts!

Terrific Quilt! I love how the colors sing. And bonus points for using up scraps (and some seem really tiny to me!) Great job. Sorry your quilting machine isn't working. I feel your pain -- mine's out for repair also.
