And the best part is that I got some more this week. Thanks, Anne.
The bigger bag is full of flannel (flannel, again? Why is everyone getting rid of their flannels?) I will make a pillow case out of this one and it'll be just for me.

The little bag at the front is a minky in minty green. Yes, Raven, you may have that one. 😏
So ... I need to sew faster and for longer hours too.
My personal challenge this month is to work on the Hole in the Barn Door quilt. I have the quilt, I have the last border, I can't find the white middle border and I KNOW that I did cut the whites for it. The most annoying thing is to forget where I have put it. I know it was on the dresser for the longest time. Then, before the Holidays, before the flu, I started putting some of the things away ... I shouldn't have done that, because the white border is NOT on the dresser anymore. Darn!
I'm working on block 39! That means I am past the halfway point with 42 blocks quilted. Yay!

Does any of you have a sewing fairy I could borrow? I promise to treat her right!

Anywho!!
I did sew some green...
These are 8.5 X 6.5 and 6.5 square. For now, I'm just sewing. I'll decide later what to do with these.
... and of course, 9 Patches ...
One yellow because there aren't a lot in the tally and the others because I found the fabric in the gifted bags. So not much sewing but ... ... Joy asked for a snowflake for the Table Scrap Challenge this month. Oh, this is so much fun! Playing with little bits of 1.5 inches! YES!
It took a lot of work to get it right but it is done. Now to quilt it. On the slow stitching front, I spend many hours on my Ohio Star Shadow.
And that's it for me. Back to cleaning.
Have a great weekend!

the block looks like a 3x3 granny square.
I've done MANY baby flannel rag quilts and donated them to the county hospital. Love making them.
And who knows what you will find while you are cleaning! Good luck. xx
I lose many things including my mind when I straighten LOL - nice projects
I don't think we should EVER have to clean up. Same as you, whenever I do I can't find anything. For me, the month of January is spent looking for things I put away for the Christmas company. Lol! Good for you to make a pillowcase for yourself. The flannel will feel so good and Raven just has to love the design! Meow!
I hope you find that white fabric for your Hole in the Barn Door quilt - that is so frustrating! Meanwhile, you've "found" lots of other fun things to play with. A flannel pillow case should definitely be on your To Do list! Have fun!
Que c'est frustrant de ne pas retrouver ce tissu ! Tu finiras pas tomber dessus quand tu ne le chercheras plus ;)) Belle avancée dans tes blocs, et quilting !
Merci pour le partage ;)
I have that exact little quilting fairy. My daughter gave it to me for Christmas one year. But in all the years I've had her, she's never sewn astitch for me, let alone finshed any UFOs.

Lots of fun stuff happening at your house (except for the cleaning, of course. Not fun at all!) The block is an old pattern, so it has lots of names. Barbara Brackman's Encyclopedia lists some of them as: Nine Patch Checkerboard, Old Mail, The Queen's Favorite (named in the 1930s), and Checkerboard. It's not hard to make, it's just like a diagonal set. Granny Square is a new name (last few years) and is even easier to make with all squares (even the white parts) and cut down. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with them.
Don't you just hate it when you think you are cleaning and putting things to right. Then when you go back and can't find something! Hope you find your missing fabric. I love getting scraps and fabric from others but omg will I ever use up all the fabric I have!!!
Oh the luxury of having a sewing fairy! My friend had one; but, unfortunately the fairy moved to Colorado last summer. My friend has been lost without her fairy. Such beautiful blocks and wonderful plans. . .yes, I too need to sew, sew, sew too!! I look forward to catching up with your progress every week!
Those blocks she gave you are so lovely! You will find a home for your new treasures somewhere. Cleaning isn't super fun, but it makes us feel good when it is done.
It's interesting how someone else's UFO can trigger an inventive finish....Thinking of that lovely cross stitch Santa just waiting for a few borders.
Thrilled to hear that you will be playing along with the TABLE SCRAPS Challenge this year, Cantal!! Enjoy your most recent scrap enhancement. Glad to see that you had some fun with your GREEN scraps, too!
Lots of fun scrappy blocks going on! Love those nine patches.
What a gorgeous Santa cross stitch!
Cleaning. oh boy!! haha!!
I like where your snowflake is going!!!
I had purchased a Christmas present in October and set it on my dresser to wrap. I got sick the beginning of December so near Christmas I verified the size with my friend's granddaughter so I could get it wrapped up. . It IS Gone. I have not found it yet. Was I in a fever?? So I understand your frustration of not being able to lay your hands on it. Best wishes for a speedy discovery. I just purchased another gift and consider myself ready for next Christmas if it turns up..lol
