Table Scrap Challenge: Bird

I finally finished my entry to Joy's Table Scrap Challenge for March. ( I know I'm late but it's better than never, so they say.)

It started here: Table Scrap Challenge. And I grabbed this magazine from 2000!

I was debating between doing another cardinal,

from my Wall of Fame

a blue jay, or even a robin. So many to choose from.

The challenge for the Artisanat group is Spring so I opted for a robin.

Then I spotted this one from the same magazine.

Well, that was a game-changer! Dug out more fabric.

I have no idea what I'm doing ... but I'm doing it!

I realized that I'd traced the pieced reversed. Oh well!

My bird will face the other way and life will go on.

I had to add a little bit of purple because, you know, Purple Month. Its feet are too small and I might change that ... then again, maybe I won't.

Thanks, Joy, for these fun challenges every month.
See the linky party here for more "Bird" challenge beauties.

All the best to you.

;^)

P.S. The challenge for April is Umbrella. I hope you will join us this month.

Behind and ahead at the same time, Chantal!!! Umbrella and YELLOW is the April prompt and color. No worries, though. It's SEW super cute, either way!

Never mind the feet, that umbrella isn't going to keep much rain off lol. Love it, great fun. xx
