The hexagon quilt, nicknamed "the Quilt of the Century" is so close to the end.
Can I finish it?

I mean, have all the hexies attached, not all quilted and bind, lol!
I have to make more diamonds which I can do sitting outside. Attaching them to the quilt is the bigger problem. The quilt is now so big and awkward to manoeuvre that it stays on the quilting frame. This means I have to be in the basement to attach the diamonds. I would like to see the end to this one so I'll give it a try.
See you all again at the end of July.

Good luck with your project. I admire anyone who tackles a hexie project.
Go, hexies, go! You can do it!
Can you join hexies into a wide strip section, then attach that to the main quilt? (I haven't done a hexie quilt, so have no experience with this...) Or is it too much of a pain in the butt to join big parts together?
Allez Chantal, je sens que tu es sur la bonne voie pour le terminer !
Après tu seras super fière de toi.....

Good luck. Sometimes outside overrides all my plans for a day! Here's to discipline for you.
Come on, you can do it! Good luck. xx
Good luck, Chantal! I would always choose hand sewing outside rather than in the basement (not that we have one!) but you're sure to get some scorching days when you might prefer the relatively cool basement, aren't you?
I love your quilt of the century! Keep at it! It will be done soon!
Love the hexies. Could you put the quilting frame outside for a while?
Thanks for visiting my blog.

Of course you will finish it. I know what you mean about being stuck in the basement though. That is where my sewing machine is and it can be depressing when the weather is so beautiful outside.
Hope you are able to get the top finished for your July OMG. It is so pretty and I look forward to seeing how you quilt it.
I love seeing your hexie quilt! I'm considering a similar layout for some hexies I've been basting. Thanks for the inspiration! Well done! Visiting from Slow Stitching Sunday!
Yes. You can finish it, and I hope you do. I love that hexie layout.
Good luck with your goals. Maybe there will be some rainy days when you can be inside attaching guilt free.
Oh my, all the best with that, I can't even imagine making a quilt from hexagons.
Best of luck. This is going to be such a wonderful feeling of accomplishment!
It looks huge. I can understand the problem, but have confidence you will persevere.
Yes, you can - one little hexie at a time!
