OMG - TA- DA! and reward

Is it time to post the OMG finished ? Already the end of May ? It was a beautiful month, weather wise and sewing wise. Very enjoyable.

Stuck in March by the mitred corners blocks, (not to mention the snow and ice, remember that?)

I managed to plow through the intimidating (to me)  blocks These blocks are the 12th of March to the 17th. As said before, the last one (bottom right) got a HSTs treatment instead of the mitred corners. :^P

Then came the 18, 19 and 20, which were easier.

and now the rest of the month; TA-DA!!

from the 21st to the 31st of March! Yes, March is done, done, done. Goal accomplished! YAY !!

And I managed to do some borders too. They are the first and second of April blocks. I know, I didn't sew them like the original quilt.
I like the symmetry of the flying geese facing each other and the slanted diamonds sitting across each other. Well, that's my story.

I am very happy with my progress on this one and would like to keep on while the going is easy. But today is such a glorious day that I think I will abandon the sewing machine and just reward myself with some slow stitching, outside, with some iced tea!  Mmmm ... sounds delicious.

I hope you will join us too.

Until next time ....

Enjoy!   ;^)

Hurray for great progress! Woohoo!!! (And you beat those miters - good for you!)
I'm stuck in the middle of April, but I hope to make a serious push over the next few weeks. Since we're now about the same place again, we can egg, um, URGE each other on, right?

I never follow a pattern to the fullest. That way It makes it my own.
Glad you took some time to sit outside and enjoy yourself.

Congratulations on your progress Chantal, and on reaching your goal. I admire your perseverance; I'd never be able to keep up with those tiny blocks.

Looking great! I really like the plaid used in the windows, and the geese look great in your April borders too.
